Knife threat in street robbery

Gang of youths robs brothers at night in Monmouth
WITHIN MINUTES of leaving a pub in the
centre of Monmouth, a small gang of local
youths carried out a robbery against two
brothers.
At a hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on
Thursday 11th February, 19-year-old Oliver
Gilbert, of Hook Close, Osbaston, was sentenced
to six months in a young offenders
institution (suspended for one year), made
subject to a supervision order for one year,
and ordered to carry out 200 hours of
unpaid work for the community and to
attend a drugs counselling course.
Gilbert pleaded guilty to two charges of
robbery and one of assault.
