Major cannabis factory raided

Whole building in central Monmouth turned into drug farm

LOCAL POLICE have raided a
huge cannabis factory on the
premises of former restaurant
China Boy Jo, in Monmouth.
On Sunday afternoon, Monmouth
Neighbourhood Policing
Team, supported by colleagues
from across the county, carried out
a large-scale raid at 100 Monnow
Street, and seized 500 cannabis
plants, 25 to 30 bags of dried
cannabis leaves, and a large
amount of artificial lighting and
hydroponic equipment.
Police officers forced their way
in at the rear of the premises, and
discovered cannabis on all four
floors of the building, as well as
the cellar.
