Osbaston playground gets council nod

AT A MEETING on Monday 1st February attended by the Beacon’s reporter, members of Monmouth Town Council voted unanimously to support a proposal to create a play park for three- to five-year-olds in Osbaston.
The proposal had been put forward by Councillor Bob Hayward, and the support of the council, and its willingness to maintain the park once it has been established, means that an application can be put forward for capital funding in the region of £30,000 to £50,000.
